Hospitals of Hope Africa Project

In addition to SWB's medical education work, the organisation also co-ordinates Hospitals of Hope Africa, a project dedicated to providing health care initiatives to African communities through the provision of hospitals and community health centres.

Hospitals of Hope Africa is currently working towards the rebuilding of a 300 hundred-bed hospital on the Rwandan/Congolese border. This hospital was ravaged as a result of the genocide in 1994 and is in desperate need of an amenity update and a community health care program. The Rwandan government has granted land and a hospital design has been agreed. The project requires significant funding to take it to the next level, so please send us an email if you would like to partner SWB in this initiative.
